The psychometric properties of the Norwegian version of the social responsiveness scale in a neuropediatric sample

The current study is an examination of the psychometric properties Norwegian Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS), a measure deficits in social behavior, neuropediatric outpatient sample children and adolescents with neurological neurodevelopmental disorders. internal consistency SRS, convergent validity SRS Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale-II (VABS-II), Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), Aberrant Checklist (ABC) were examined, addition to four different factor models (i.e., one-factor, original five-factor, second-order five-factor model, 16-item one-factor model) using confirmatory analyses. There was satisfactory on all subscales, except for Awareness subscale. showed somewhat meaningful overlap parts related scales VABS-II, SDQ, ABC. Model fit indices mixed evaluating models. Overall, however, model rather poor. subscales adequate some subscales. construct terms structure not acceptable. Future research should examine improved version especially improving scale’s validity.
